Pockets full of Posen? I wish....

Not too long ago, a friend wrote me from NY Fashion Week: "Just passed Anna Wintour leaving Zac Posen".  I died.
Zac Posen has consistently produced pieces that cause me to swoon, season after season.  The wide range of colors - everything from your basic blacks and grays (which you know I love), to bold blocks and ethereal swatches offer every woman the opportunity to look like her clothes were made just for her.  For Pre Fall 2012, ZP delves deep into the depths of glamour, utilizing smooth swaths of feathers, unusual pleats and full on mermaid silhouettes to make your jaw drop.  Bold hughes offer relief from the drab economy and the negative social/political state of the world.

I absolutely LOVE this look.  Full, shorter skits are my go-to and the architectural blouse gives me goosebumps - it's that hot.

I don't even know where to begin - save that I love the texture, the streamlined simplicity and the way that Posen can somehow always drape to impress.

I'm all about Architectural fashion - the pleats and the collar on this dress are intense. This  piece is perfect for taking from Pre Fall to winter and will make a statement while remaining chic.

Who doesn't love a fabulous little party dress?

I don't know where I would wear this, but if my mother asks, I'll say everywhere and the grocery store.   Holy mack.... love.

An appreciation for the shape of women and the ability to make them feel sexy are natural skills to ZP.  I don't usually go for mermaid silhouettes, but there is something about the flirtiness of this this dress that entices me....

This screams "siren".  Carrying velvet over into 2012  - and in a BIG way.

I LOVE THIS DRESS.  The detail, the color, the pleats pleats pleats!

This is simply breathtaking - every detail is thoroughly thought out and designed for a woman's shape. I love  this take on a ball gown.  The twisted bodice leading to the churning skirt make the waist look absolutely itsy bitsy and yet don't give that "tiny waist, large trunk" look that so many big dress silhouettes can give.  The skirt is almost aquatic in the way that it reminds me of beta fish tails in Fantasia....

Ahem, Erdem!

Don't put away your black lace yet - Pre Fall 2012 is nearly right around the corner and Erdem's collection offers slinky silhouettes in textures you'll recognize from this past fall and winter.

I love the way Erdem brings a modern sexiness to skirts and dresses.  We all know their use of lace enticed the Duchess of Cambridge on her Canadian tour, but it was their smooth use of color and floral patterns on ultra feminine, sexy, slightly 50's-esque silhouettes that will leave us gawking in the months to come.

Ladylike and bold, the Pre Fall 2012 collection offers options, versatility and lets you transfer your wardrobe smoothly from this cool weather to next year's.
Please note the jackets - I'm in love.

Are you ready to take your lace up a notch and experiment with this vibrant, yet figuratively dark color palette?

The prim tuck of the lace shirt and the unusual colors are enticing and unusually sexy, yet professional.

If you know me - you know I have the coat gene.  Floral coats will keep you in a summery spirit as fall draws near.

The black lace shirt is reminiscent of a lot of pieces we've seen in 2011 - the sheer skirt with the bold floral pattern freshens up the look.  I love black and grey!

Nothing to say except I need this jacket.  Just look at that color blue!  And the silhouette is fantastic - ladylike with some punk spirit.

This is just too good to be true....
